“Until Lions have their own historians, tales of the hunt shall always glorify the hunter.”
African Proverb "Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fall." Confucius "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Nelson Mandela "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." Malcolm X "You're not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who says it." Malcolm X "A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots." Marcus Garvey "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. Harriet Tubman "Preservation of one's own culture does not require contempt or disrespect for other cultures." Cesar Chavez "Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble." Rep. John Lewis "I want to be remembered as a woman...who dared to be a catalyst of change." Shirley Chisholm "Power concedes nothing without a demand, it never did and it never will. If there is no struggle, there is no progress." Frederick Douglass |
